Dinosaurs may have roamed near Grand Canyon: Study
Excerpt:LOS ANGELES The awe-inspiring Grand Canyon was most likely carved about 70 million years ago, much earlier than thought, a provocative brand-new study recommends -- so early that dinosaurs could have roamed near this natural wonder. Using a new dating tool, a group of scientists created a different age for the gorge's western area, difficult conventional wisdom that much of the canyon was scoured by the mighty Colorado River in the last 5 million to 6 million years. Not everyone is enticed with the most recent perspective published on-line Thursday in the journal Science. Critics compete the study ignores a mountain of proof pointing to a geologically young landscape and they have questions about the technique utilized to date it. The concept that the Grand Canyon existed during the dinosaur age is "ludicrous," stated geologist Karl Karlstrom of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Key:
- Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
- The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
- The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).
Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
