Working out in the open airs may produce more psychological perks than striking the health club, suggest researchers who say that "green exercise" may enhance mood, self-confidence, inspiration and satisfaction. But according to a new research, the positive results of green exercise may have more to do with the color green than with being bordered by nature. The research is the first to show that the color green may contribute to the feel-good perks of outdoor exercise, the researchers stated. The findings were published in the journal Environmental Science and Technology in August. Researchers at the University of Essex in England had 14 college-age men ride an in the house fixed bike for 5 minutes while watching a video that simulated biking with a natural environment.
