Police said Tuesday tattooed body parts discovered in a Michigan sewer line belong to a white woman with a large build, the Lansing State Journal reports. The body parts were first found by teams clearing a platform on Aug. 15 in the city of Sterling Heights, Mich. , the newspaper reports. Police said, based on the condition of the body parts, they likely had actually not been in the sewer for long and most likely floated downstream in wastewater. Authorities supposedly sent out DNA samples from the body parts to the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification, Department of Forensics and Investigative Genetics and the Macomb County Medical Examiner's Office. Examination results exposed the body parts concerned a white woman, described as having a "large build." Police state the tattoos may be 15 to 20 years old, the Lansing State Journal reports.
