DOHA, Qatar The USA defended its track record on fighting climate change on Monday at U.N. talks, stating it's making "enormous" efforts to slow global warming and help the bad nations most influenced by it. Climate change: Fact or fiction? Other countries have actually implicated Washington of obstructing the environment talks ever since the Bush administration abandoned the Kyoto Protocol, the 1997 treaty restricting emissions of heat-trapping gases by industrialized countries. As negotiators fulfilled for a two-week session in oil - and gas-rich Qatar, U.S. hand over Jonathan Pershing recommended America should have more credit. "Those who don't follow what the U.S. is doing may not be informed of the scale and extent of the effort, but it's enormous," Pershing stated.

Key:
- Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
- The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
- The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).
Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
